Berlin’s Kadir Amigo Memiş processes the history of Berlin’s jazzy graffiti and takes the audience on a journey of discovery from urban culture influences, from hiphop and graffiti. Dance, costume, painting and sound are based on the principle of taking collage and the sum of diverse material to the extreme of iconoclasm From the abstraction of the letter to the abstraction of a lettrist organism, this performance becomes a painting of movement, color and music. The explosive potential mixes with one’s own biography and thus writes a new story.

The audiovisual dance performance OFF THE GRID breaks with conventional patterns Geometric forms meet movement, static boundaries are broken and fill the space with emotions. fill the space with emotions. The mere body language defines and deforms the space, the grid model is reconstructed. A clash of creating and destroying in momentum emerges. OFF THE GRID visualizes the body in empty space and provides a metaphor for breaking out of rigid habits. Amigo and Tofa create a sense of boundlessness and subject dance and space to metamorphosis.

Dance photography as an aesthetic of the moment, the fleeting instant. It forms an essential point of reference for reflecting on the diverse cultural and historical manifestations of dance.

Interdisciplinary dance and music performance in the style of a live silent film incl. live band and dancing afterwards.
Die multimediale Inszenierung im Stile eines Live-Stummfilms spielt mit den Fragen nach dem „Ich“, dem „Wir“ und den „Anderen“. In the narrative, the dancers devote themselves to the concept of “bubbles,” divide into groups, let these change, emerge anew, and finally dissolve. As a counterpoint to social distancing, boundaries are to be questioned and broken open. What awaits us outside the familiar and what does it require of us and our counterpart?
A collective dance happening is created in a fusion of contemporary dance, swing dance, digital live performance and live music evening. The goal is to shake the boundaries at the end of the performance – individual bubbles deform, the demarcation between performers and audience disappears and what remains is a shared togetherness. Afterwards, there will be dancing together to live music by the band JazzDefense. Swing, 30s/40s, Shuffle and Blues.

Pina Bausch was the grande dame of contemporary dance and founder of the legendary Tanztheater Wuppertal. The documentary “Dancing Pina” now celebrates the unforgettable choreographer and the people who today approach her work in a completely new way.
The focus is on 2 pieces, 2 continents, 2 dance worlds: the venerable Semperoper in Dresden and the École des Sables in a Senegalese fishing village. Under the guidance of former members of Pina Bausch’s company, dancers from all over the world rediscover the pieces “Iphigenie auf Tauris” and “Le Sacre du Printemps”.

A double evening in a class of its own: on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of bilateral relations between Austria and South Korea, cultural and artistic ties will be strengthened.
The new work of the dancer and choreographer, who lives in Linz and comes from South Korea, is defined by her own movement concept “Infinity movement with Multiple Web”. This concept understands the phenomenon of the body and implements the principles of natural flow through mixing, entanglement and loosening. Instead of the principle of advancing through force, which works with constraint and limitations, movements are presented here that naturally emerge through cognition and understanding.
This event will be streamed live by Dorf TV.

A double evening in a class of its own: on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of bilateral relations between Austria and South Korea, cultural and artistic ties will be strengthened.
The piece negotiates questions about that world which is formed through our body and our perception. Movement disappears in the moment where it is performed. PARALLEL CROSS experiments with different contexts and discovers their embodiment through dance. These diversities have led South Korean Lee Jung-In, a choreographer and dancer living in Linz since 2015, to organize the festival for art and culture “A!KO – JENSEITS VON GRENZEN”.
This event will be streamed live by Dorf TV.
